‘Oil' chief held'
■ The official Iraqi news agency has said .that Iraqi forces have captured the Iranian Oil Minister (Mr Mohammad Javad Tondguyan). The report quoted the Iraqi High Command as saying [that Mr Tondguyan was ambushed by special Iraqi patI fols in the Gulf war zone. Mr Tondguyan would be the .hiehest-ranking Iranian to [fall into Iraqi hands since the war began on September 22. A 30-year-old petroleum technologist, he was appointed Oil Minister three days after the fighting began and Iraqi invasion forces pushed into Iran’s oil-pro-ducing Khuzestan Province. — Bagdad.
