Mary Ann Petrie and her daughter, Sarah, of Eyredale, Swannanoa, with Eyredale Aberdeen, which was champion brood mare at the Leeston Show last Saturday and the next morning gave birth to a foal. Both mother and foal will enter the brood mare class at the Rangiora Show. Mary Ann Petrie has succeeded Mr G. F. Sheppard, who has retired after 25 years as secretary of the Northern A. and P. show.
