Comical Monday

Those lacking anything to do on the Monday of Labour week-end, might like to stroll along to the Gladstone. Tavern and • catch the Comics, past, present, and future. . The Comics, supported by a cast of thousands, will help put on a show, starting at 2 p.m. and continuing through until closing time. The Christchurch band has gone through quite a few changes, and the show is a chance to farewell old members and welcome the new ones.

At the moment, the Comics consist of Xtine Simpson, John Purvis, and Danny Bennett, compared with a six-piece when the band set out on their North Island tour three months ago. Nancy Kiel is Aset to Join the band when she returns from the United States in November. Old members to be present at the show are Peter Scott, Torch Newman, Ruth Genet, Martin - Copland, and Tony Smith. Other bands also featured ift the Monday'special, include i the Playthings, Humans, and Pretty Smelling Flowers-.
