Accountants’ officers
PA Wellington Mr R. C. Pope, of Wellington, has been elected president of the Society of Accountants. Mr Pope, a senior partner in a national firm of chartered accountants, has been a member of the society’s council since 1975 and has chaired several of the major committees of the society in the last five years. Mr B. A. Christmas, of Auckland, has been elected vice-president of the society and Mr J. K. Torrance, of Christchurch, has been elected treasurer. ■
