Five on charges PA Auckland
Four persons appeared in court yesterday charged with offences arising from the robbery of the Manurewa South Post Office last Friday; Nine- arrests have now beep made by the police during their • inquiry into the $2OOO. robbery, in which a boy, aged 15, was injured by a shotgun blast. Tn the District court' at Wellington two men arrested after the armed offenders’ squad surrounded a house ip the city on Tuesday morning were remanded without plea. A third man, lan Rangitaniwha Peina, aged 40, a;, fisherman, was charged with stealing a car at .Wanganui on or about October 13.
In the District Court, at Otahuhu, Barry. Hamiora Po-j hutuhutu, aged 34, a store-man-packer,' of Otahuhu was charged with receiving £4O from Douglas Hamilton, knowing it had been dishonestly obtained. He faced , a further count of being a party to Douglas Hamilton, who with Lester Hamilton and a man, aged 25, now in the Princess Margaret Hospital in Christchurch, robbed a Post Office teller.
