An up-to-date hair care cosmetic range

Once cosmetic use stopped’ at the face,, but now ’there is a hair cosmetic system, available for use from the ' hairline back.

Kadus ’.System Haarr kosmetik is. the most, up-to-date hair care, cosmetic range to be released to advanced hairdressing salons in New Zealand. Tills Germaij firm , has been a leading exponent in supplying the professional hairdressing trade with hair care products for the past 60 years. F. Braun and Company, an Auckland based firm, produces quality Kadus products for New Zealand hairdressing salons.

The products are only available from salons that are Kadus franchise stockists.

The company’s managing director, Mr Karl Hansem, feels that there is a need for a totally professional cosmetic approach to hairdressing and that the Kadus system is a part of this professional attitude. The Kadus treatment range, called Terminal, takes the form of either a salon application or an at home treatment. Terminal cleanses, con« ditions and stabilizes - the hair structure.

Most hair care products stop at cleansing and conditioning, with the conditioning treatment remaining locked in the hair shaft only till the next shampoo. The Kadus conditioner penetrates the hair shaft, locks itself in there and remains in the shaft for at least five shampoos, if not longer. Terminal is available in three separate units for cleansing, conditioning and stabilizing. It is advisable that the initial Terminal treatment be done at a professional hair salon; ‘ , The hairdresser can evaluate the client’s hair and so instruct him or her how best to use Kadus as an at home treatment.Nevertheless a client may prefer to return to the salon for further treatment.

kadus does not limit its products to the Terminal range. ,’ .. .

. A conditioning perming lotion is also available in New Zealand.

The perming lotion has an in-built conditioner also, which keeps, the hair in healthy shape. Kadus also produces a semi-permanent colouring .application.

This foaming mousselike formula can ’ be applied by a professional hairdresser, or at home. 7

It. comes in 14' colours from greys, do - natural and modern shades. N 'Because of public demand, F. ■ Bratin’. t and Company, has arranged that two further blond shades be added to the range next month?; ’ The colours are formulated to lift and enhance hair, while adding extra shine and condition.

Recently, Kadus stockists, in Canterbury, requested a local seminar to further their hairdressing knowledge, in conjunction with the use of the products.

On Sunday, October. 19, the seminar was held at the Gainsborough Motor Lodge, from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. with 53 hairdressers in attendance.

The audience represented 12 Christchurch salons and two from Ashburton. Refresher courses on product awareness, mar; keting formats, promotional activities and hairdressing activities were held; The company’s marketing director, Mr Jim Avis, feels that such a seminar encourages a high standard of professional hairdressing.

According to Mr A v ‘ s . the seminar .is ’ just / one area of a.-continuing; education , in-hait care/-: - ?■ - ■ 'Mr Avis was nied at the seminar,'by Mr Peter Zidich, a highly regarded Auckland .hairdresser, who demonstrated a variety of advanced hairdressing techniques.
