Jail for bomb scare
PA Auckland Four false bomb warnings telephoned to Fisher and Paykel cost the firm about $30,800 in lost wages and production and cost the caller four months iri jail. Before Judge Hall iri the District Court at Auckland was Michael William Wichman, aged 22, a labourer, of Mangere, who had earlier denied telephoning fictitious messages oh July 14, 15, and 16.
After earlier hearing evidence in the District Court at Otahuhu, Judge Hall found the charges proved. Wichman had earlier admitted giving a fictitious message on July 17.
