Marching to begin
The 1980-81 marching season will begin at Porritt Park on Sunday with a grand march, followed by a full round of competition.
A total of 22 teams will take part in the march, but most interest will centre on the competition results. Sunday’s results will determine which grade, A or B, each team will take part in, and whether it will be in section one or two of that grade. The first aggregate championship will be at Porritt Park on November 2, with three after that to determine which teams will take part in the South Island and national championships.
