Security shredding

Every firm has to deal with important, confidential and even secret information. It can range from shorthand notes, copies of important processes and computer printouts through to data stores on film and microfiche.

To prevent anything getting into the wrong hands, paper and microfilm shredders provide the security of destruction.

Depending on the level of security required, confidential documents can be shredded into thin, illegible strips not more than six mm wide, tiny spyproof particles or virtually dust. Shredders range from w a s t e-p a p e r basket designs to large, high-per-formance units which can handle the output of whole floors of offices. Such models can shred up

to 60 sheets of paper at a time, and can handle computer paper and heavy cardboard. They also handle any paper clips or staples left on documents, so there is no need to remove them by hand. The recyclability of the end product is an added bonus, as shredded paper can be sold or used internally for packaging material.
