Antarctic lecturer
The superintendant of the ■ Antarctic Division of the - D.5.1.R., Mr Ri B. Thomson, : will take a break from his position to lecture in the ' United States next year. ■Mr Tho ,on will spend the ! first five months of the year on a Fullbright lecture schol- : arship at the University of Northern Illinois.
e He will study and lecture e on topics related to geologi- , cal sciences in the Antarctic, s Mr Thomson, who will ? make his fifty-sixth visit to Scott Base in November, • plans to return to New Zear land from the United States - in June or July im time for f the start of the 1981-82 Antarctic summer season.
