- ' '■' • ?*■■ ■ \ is* Shoes&Things ♦ Skirts are shorter - and at Shoes & Things heels are lower. Always colour. Neutral, black, white will be important this year - but because a large’ proportion of the shoes at Shoes & Things j are imported (from fashion conscious Italy, Spain, France) the new colours - are the newest colours. Pale and pretty is the mood. With white nearly always right. Lots of pastels - pinks and blues. 1 Though the stronger French blue will be a big, success. And red. With all the black and whitey red is the "wanted" colour. The very open strappy sandal has been replaced by sandals with a "basket weave" look. And because the forecast is for, elegance, the season of the little black dress, ths., elegant little suit etc Shoes & Things have the court shoe — that American classic — in all th& l new colours. Heels high and flirty if you like, but the . lower 3" heel is common. Casual is important too. Fuller skirts, knee length shorts, leaner pants - need flat shoes. The : Europeans called it the "college look", the _ Americans the "preppy look". Shoes & Things have the flat as flat sandals, Oxford lace-ups, moccasins - and the very flat much wanted loafer ... to wear with this summer's relaxed look.
