Yachting Half-ton format changed
A 1 1 half-ton boatsj which competed in the first division of keeler fleet races at the Banks Peninsula Cruising Club j last season, have been j switched to the second di- * vision for the 1980-81 ’ season.
The move, which was decided by the club's racing committee this week, will even out the number of boats in the two divisions.
Previously, the first division. which comprises basically faster, more competitive keelers, had about twice as many boats as the second division.
The decision should give half-tn boats a better chance of line honours and is certain to provide tougher, more stimulating half-ton boats a better tion.
