Hair test delayed
PA Auckland Equipment problems at a nuclear reactor in Sydney have delayed tests on a hair which is regarded as vital evidence in the investigation of the rape and murder of Alicia O'Reilly, aged six. Detective Inspector B. Matthews said yesterday that he had received a message fronj Sydney saying that interim results would not now be available for another 10 days.
The pubic hair was found on the body of Alicia O’Reilly, who was murdered at her home in Avondale. Auckland, on August 16. The hair will be compared by tests in a nuclear reactor with a hair taken from the suspect in the case.
