Linwood tops A grade
The Canterbury indoor bowls intcr-chib series has concluded with Linwood Avenue .A leading; the A-grade section with 2481 points. Garden City .A was second with 217 points, in spite of defaulting its last-round games because o: a bereavement. Northcote B had a most successful season, winning the B-grade section with 263 points, the highest section total recorded. St Paul’s A was second on 229 points. Northcote B team was also prominent in the team results, winning the fours, finishing second in the singles, and third

I represented by only one team! in the A-grade. and Northcote A holds that position. Lloyd Bellis (Hoon Hay Club) won his final singles game of the season to take him to the top of the individual singles, Don Mclntosh (Barrington), who had dropped only one point with a drawn game, was unlucky to lose his final game by a measure on the last end. Jim Hyslop (Banks .Avenue) made a determined effort, winning his last four games, to share second place with Mclntosh.
