Public Notices BOROUGH OF RICCARTON LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS 1980 THE 1980 Elections in the Riccarton Borough will be held under the Postal system. Voting papers will be sent by post to each registered elector on or after September 28. Electors who have not received their voting papers by say October 6. are invited to apply to the Borough Office during office hours 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday inclusive. Special voting facilities will be available at the Borough Office during normal office hours from Monday, September 29 to Friday, October 10 and on the morning of Saturday, October 11, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
The following issues sre those to be determined with the names of the candidates nominated for the respective offices together with party affiliations (if any). 1. MAYOR OF THE BOROUGH (One to be elected). No election necessary as only sufficient candidate to fill vacancy. Mayor has been declared re-elected. 2. COUNCILLORS FOR THE BOROUGH (Eight to lie elected). No election neces--sary as only sufficient candidates to fill the vacancies. These have been declared elected.
