$½M raised for Outward Bound
The Outward Bound Trust is ready to call tenders for the first stage of a rebuilding programme for its Anakiwa school, in the Marlborough Sounds. More than $500,000 in cash or pledges has been raised towards the project. The second stage of the fun d-raising campaign began this month. Some donors will be asked to
endow specific buildings, according to the patron of the trust, Mr Roy McKenzie. Of the 19 buildings planned for the complex, two have already been endowed. Outward Bound associations throughout New Zealand are working towards appeal targets for the programme.
