Coach firm agreement
A redundancy agreement has been reached between New Zealand Motor Bodies, Ltd, and the trade unions that have members in the firm’s factory in Christchurch.
Most of the 53 staff are members of the Engineers’ Union. Its Canterbury branch secretary (Mr ,R. J. Todd) said that the agree-' ment, reached on Monday, was satisfactory. The Christchurch factory will phase out of production between now and December 23, when all production work will be done at the firm’s main factory in Palmerston North. Workers have! been offered the option of transferring to Dunedin orthe North Island.
