TV production staff strike
Sir, — Just what is the P.S.A.? While thousands of New Zealanders are unable to find employment niches, the production staff of Television New Zealand, who I
am sure enjoy better than reasonable conditions and pay, are griping with their employers, and by striking denying television viewers their right to information and entertainment. The strike is coming at a particularly bad time when the impact of the visiting Truxtun and accompanying protest will by played down. Has the P.SA any desire to promote ideological harmony of any shade in this country? Hardship hardly seems to be their priority. — Yours, etc., MARY SHAND. September 20, 1980.
