Pistol charge
PA Wellington A former police constable was charged in the District Court at Wellington yesterday with stealing a pistol while employed by the New Zealand Police. Gerhard Herbert Peetz, aged 35, an unemployed security guard, entered no plea when he appeared before Judge Beatson. Peetz was charged that between June 1, 1975, and June 30 that year, while being a constable, he stole a .38 pistol, valued at $BO. the property of the force. lire Judge remanded Peetz until Friday. Bail was set at ‘ssoo.
