Elderly on crossings?
PA Wellington The possibility of hiring retired people to man school pedestrian crossings will be investigated by the Road Research Division of the Ministry of Transport. The suggestion was part of a remit put by the Invercargill City transport department to the annual conference of the Traffic Institute at Upper Hutt. The remit was adopted by the conference, and passed to the Ministry for additional research.
