‘Serious assault’
A man was admitted to Ashburton Hospital after what the police alleged as a “serious” assault at Chertsey yesterday morning. Two men in their early 20s would be charged with
assault with intent to injure, said the Ashburton police. The complainant’s condition was comfortable last evening, said an Ashburton Hospital spokesman. Inquiries into the incident were continuing.
