Consumer services

Electricity, the modern energy fuel, can be used economically for practically every consumer requirement All fuels have distinct individual advantages, but electricity has none of the disadvantages of other fuels. It is difficult to imagine a modern home or business without a supply of electricity available.

It is recognised that the use of electrical appliances raises living standards and gives quality to life. This does not mean that electrical - energy should be wasted.

All Supply authorities are concerned that electricity is used in the safest and most efficient and economical way possible. Experienced technical advisory officers are

available to discuss the merits of electricity with consumers and to give an opinion on the installation of electric wiring and appliances. M.E.D. consumers are invited to contact the de-

partment’s Consumer Adivisory Officer for advice on such matters as planning a new electrical layout or the economical use of appliances. This service is readily available at no charge.
