Blue Star Line is making a 1 series of important executive changes in connection with its . Middle East Gulf container service to and from New Zealand . and Australia. Mr R. Sulzberger, who form- . erly worked at,the Wellington office of Blueport A.C.T., and ' held executive positions with the line in London and Belem, ; Brazil, before becoming Middle East container service repre- : sentative in Bombay, will be trade- manager of the Middle East Gulf service, stationed at Sydney. ' He succeeds Mr R. Thorpe who has been named general l manager of Blue Star Line at Dubai in the- United Arab Emirates. Mr Thorpe, in turn, succeeds Mr I. ? Nicholls, formerly of Auckland, who is completing his tour of duty, at Dubai. Mr, Thorpe’s role will be to head a team of expatriate tech-nical-executives, supported by local” staff, and to co-ordinate - the network of Blue Star agents throughout the Middle East Gulf . region. . " ' Succeeding Mr Sulzberger as container service ’ representative in Bombay will be Mr A. Wilson, who is operations : manager of the line’s United Arab Emirates office.
