‘Mr Asia’ case
NZPA Preston The ‘‘Mr Asia” drugs and murder case will return to court briefly late in November. The pre-trial review of evidence had, been listed for November 24, a Preston court officer said yesterday. The review is likely to last one day) and deal only with evidence which defence counsel ihave already said they wilL contest. Speculation ' that some of the 12 accused facing lesser charges might, be tried then and there could-not be confirmed by-the officer. The November review is seen as a method of ordering the course of the trial, which is listed to open early in January. Defence counsel gave notice at the committal hearing that they would con-i test whether some of the' evidence should be presented
