B.O.S. profit falls 12p.c.
The Wellington office office equipment company, British Office Supplies, Ltd, has reported an 11.8 per cent fall in net profit from $196,062 to $172,800 for the. year to March 31. The company has taken nearly five months to report its result and appears to have breached the Stock Exchange Association regulation which- requires a company to report its results within four months of balance date.
A steady 10 per cent, final dividend has been recommended to be paid on October 1, making a total of 16 per cent for this year. The profit was after a rise in group operating income from $3.3 million ,to $3.8 million, depreciation of $62,187 ($56,261) and taxation of $144,089 compared with $173,472 last year. The return on capital is 14.7 per cent, which, fails to cover the 16 per cent dividend payment for the year. ' " .: . r "
