Hijack reconstructed
Moluccan gunmen who hijacked a Dutch train in “The Train That Never Arrived,” the programme of “Life At Stake” screening tomorrow on Network Two.

“The Train That Never Arrived” reconstructs what happened in December. 1975, when seven South Moluccans hijacked a train to draw attention to their protest against the incorporation of their island into Indonesia in 1949.
The passengers were held hostage, for 13 days before Dutch commandos stormed the train and freed them. Two passengers and the driver were killed.
