Fluoridecancer survey
PA ‘.Auckland The: rate of‘increase in deaths from cancer in New Zealand 'has been greater in areas where, the water is not fluoridated, according to a study published in the “New Zealand Medical Journal.” . The study, by Dr C. M. Goodall,., of the Cancer Research.. Unit, Dunedin, and Mr F. H. Foster, the senior statistician of. the National Health Statistics Centre, in Wellington, finds there is no evidence that fluoride increases the incidence.; of death rate through cancer. \ ; The total.death rate of people ,45 and over in fluoridated areas was 629.5 per 100,000. in 1961,. and 691.1, per, 100,000 in 1976. In non-fluoridated areas, the rate was 567.7 in 1961, and 733.5 in 1976. ;■//•.:■,
