Rebels resist
Rebel activity has continued on the island of Espiritu' Santo in Vanuatu, despite the 'capture ,of the rebel leader, .Mr Jimmy - Stevens. The ' Vanuatu Government spokesman;- Mr ‘John Beasant, said no immediate action by Papua New Guinea troops was planned. “It is hoped they will realise their situation is hopeless and that they,will surrender,”,he said. — Port Vila. : 1
