Socred ‘watchdog’
New Zealanders must vote i Social Credit to break the two-party domination of Parliament according to the de-puty-leader of the Social Credit Political League, Mr Jeremy Dwyer. This domination could be broken by voting a strong team of Social Credit members of Parliament into a responsible watchdog role in the House, he told delegates at the league’s national conference at Lincoln. A Social Credit team in Parliament •would fight for full independence of de-cision-making for New Zealand, the reform of monetary and financial policies, urgent measures against inflation. and a return to stability of the dollar, and policies which would put New Zealanders first in developing
'the nation’s immense potential. “If overseas bankers are confident enough to want to lend this country further thousands of millions and are happy enough that we should simply pay the massive interest” bill” that will accrue,
•then New Zealanders should {seriously consider developing • our own potential; using our internal credit so that our
energy resources, water supply, and forests remain in the hands of New Zealanders,” said Mr Dwyer, j
