Quiz final to Chch student
A Christchurch university student, Russell Kirkpatrick, aged 19, of Breezes Road.i won the national final of the Jaycees “Know Your Nation” quiz, held in the Chateau Re-; gency on Saturday evening. Mr Kirkpatrick, who attended Aranui High School, is studying geography, English and philosophy, and plans to become a minister. His prize is a Trans Tour trip for two through New Zealand, i ■ He won the which was run by Jaycees as part; of the “Pride in Our Nation” j theme, by one point. The run-ner-up wasS.Glen Carter, aged, 17, from Tauranga. The four! finalists were tested on their, general knowledge of history’ geography, and current af- 1 fairs.
