Prisoners surrender
Nine armed convicts have freed 11 hostages they had held for four days and surrendered at the top-security Laval Prison in Montreal.
The prisoners, most of them convicted murderers, seized 12 hostages, on Monday “in a bid to escape from the prison. One convict was killed in an abortive attempt to hijack a rubbish truck. — Montreal.
