Ski-plane pilot still ‘critical’
Greymouth reporter The pilot of the Cessna ski-plane which crashed above Fox Glacier on Thursday remained in a ' critical condition in Grey Hospital yesterday. lan Cameron, aged 25, of Skeats Road, Okaiawa, near Hawera, is suffering from multiple injuries, particularly to the head. Peter Roodbeen, aged 22, of 1 McAlpine Road, No. 12 R. D. Hawera, one of the five, passengers, has spinal injuries, minor facial and hand injuries, and his condition is stable. The names of two Australian couples on the air-
craft were released yesterday. They are Nicholas Bernard Cains, aged 25, of the Gap, Brisbane, ’ who has head injuries, and Shirley Cains, aged 25, who has facial and abdominal injuries. Both are in a stable condition. Allan Pearce, aged 36, of Burradar Close, North Rock, Sydney, has minor facial and leg injuries. His condition is described as good.
