CHEMICAL ENGINEER ; A VACANCY exists for a Chemical Engineer in the By Products Development Section of the Meat Industry Institute of N.Z. the central research agency for the Meat Export Industry. The appointee would be expected to become fully conversant with present rendering and other by-product processing operations and then /to carry out R.D. on new product and processing possibilities. This includes Lab Scale feasibility studies through to leading full scale multi disciplinary industry based projects. The position calls for a person who is inovative and self motivated, has a sound theoretical knowledge but is prepared to adopt a hands on approach' in the practical and challenging environment. Minimum qualifications BE (Chem) or equivalent, preferably with some R.D. experience, in a food related industiy. Aged up to 35 yean. Salary according to qualifications and experience but could be up to $20,000. . A young graduate may be given an eventual opportunity for post graduate study.
