Champion’s plans
Special correspondent Invercargill
Providing they come through their preparations satisfactorily, the Templeton stablemates, Lord Module and Sunskeer, will contest the Wilson Neill Free-For-All at Invercargill on Saturday, October 4. “The Invercargill Trotting Club is thrilled to receive their nominations — it will mean a big boost for our meeting and trotting in Southland, in general, if both contest the race,” a spokesman for the club said yesterday. Their Templeton ownertrainer, Cecil Devine, told the club on Wednesday that both pacers would contest the mobile 2200 m feature if they continued to progress satisfactorily in their preparations.
“Little Brown Jug was largely responsible for generating tremendous interest in the Southland Racing Club’s summer meeting last November and Lord Module promises to have an even bigger impact on our meeting if he starts,” the spokesman for the Invercargill Club said.
