Top juniors beaten in table tennis
PA Wellington Two of New Zealand’s top junior girls were among those surprisingly beaten in the national junior table tennis championships at Lower Hutt yesterday. They were Ruth Lee (Hutt Valley) and Lynda Dyer (Auckland).
Miss Lee, runner-up last year and seeded second, lost her first match to Miss D. Tipper (Canterbury) 16-21, 20-22. Miss Dyer, the third seed, was beaten by Kathy Prince (Manawatu). Results:—
