I RESOLUTION ] That in pursuance and ex- j ercise of the powers vested < i in it by the Local Govern- ; ment Act 1974, the Local Au- , thorities Loans Act, 1956, and ( all amendments thereto and j all other acts and powers enabling it in that behalf and by virtue of and in accord- J ahce with the conditions of 1 1 the sanction of the Local Au- j thorities Loans Board, grant- 1 ed at a meeting of the board • held on August 12, 1980, the < council resolves to proceed 1 to raise in New Zealand a < loan to be known as the Staff ' Housing Loan 1980 for the I , sum of seventy thousand dol- t •lars ($70,000) for the purpose i iof erecting or purchasing s houses for council staff and 1 I making advances by way of 1 'loans to council staff to as- < ! sist with the purchase or S i building of their own hous- i ! ing requirements subject to 1 I the following determinations: ; (1) The maximum term for ■ which the said loan or any , | part thereof may be bor- • rowed shall be 30 years, ! provided that: (a) Where the method of re- . payment is in accordance with clause 3 (a) hereof, the minimum term shall be not less than 6 years; (b) Where the method of repayment is in accordance with clause 3 (b) hereof, any amounts borrowed for less than 6 years shall not exceed 40 per cent of the issue, and shall be , borrowed for 3 years and/ or 4 years and/or 5 years. (2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of tlie said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender a rate exceeding . the appropriate rate for the time being speci- : fled by the Local Authorities £oans Board and notified in the New Zealand Gazette, as if money borrowed pursuant to this ■ sanction were money to which such Gazette notice applies.
