BACK ON WOOL BOARD
On.the left is Mr Robert Johnston, of Ashley Gorge, Oxford, aged 40 years, who was last week elected to the Wool Board. Mr Johnston served a previous term from 1975 to 1978 and his r>electioh after a period off the board may be unique as far as the board is concerned. The other photograph is of Mr Bruce . Cnrystall, aged .70, of Origa Onga, Hawke’s Bay, who was re-
elected after serving for six years. He started the Wool Action Committee, which in 1972 spearheaded the campaign against the Wool Board’s scheme to establish the Wool Marketing Corporation with powers to acquire / all shorn wool compulsorily. Mr' Johnston was also an opponent of acquisition an I was chairman of the woolgrowers’ action committee in North Canterbury at that time of the controversy. ’
