Jenkins for Gore
PA Invercargill The top Palmerston North jumping rider, Stephen Jenkins, who won the last Great Northern and Grand National Steeplechases, respectively, on Guess Who and Thumbs Orf, has been engaged to ride Monata in the Wayte Memorial Steeplechase at Gore on Saturday. Monata, a winner over country last season at long odds at Wingatui, is owned by the president of the Eastern Southland Hunt Club, Mr Don Collett.
