A 70-year-old weatherboard bungalow on a 1024 square metre section at 24 Peterborough Street was passed in at auction on Tuesday at $37,500. The 1979 Government Valuation of the property is $40,000, most of which applies to the land value. Negotiations are continuing. The house, which is about 167 square-metres, is divided into two- flats, one with three bedrooms and one with one bedroom, and is opposite the Christchurch Arts Centre. The property was auctioned by' Mr D. Rankin, of H. G. Livingstone, Ltd.
