Strong Southland side
Eastern Southland, the defending champion, is not going to relinquish its national primary schoolgirls’ hockey title lightly judging bv the first day of plav at Sheffield yesterday. Eastern won all three matches and had an important 2-0 win against Canterbury in its final match.
