Good win to Southland
Westport reporter Southland defeated West Coast, 43-3, in the first match of the South Island under-18 rugby tournament, which started at Patterson Park, Westport, yesterday.
In other games Canterbury defeated Marlborough, 26-19, Nelson Bays beat MidCanterbury, 14-6, and Otago accounted for the home team, Buller, 22-0.
