Hunt for attacker
PA Auckland Detectives were last evening piecing together the movements of a girl found lying in pools of blood in a Takapuna street early on Saturday. Jacqueline Hazel Blun>den, aged 16, of Northcote. was last eveing reported in a stable but serious, condition in the criticalcare ward of Auckland Hospital. She has head injuries and has undergone neurosurgery. The police believe the girl was attacked on her way home from a cabaret.
. The man heading a team of 25 investigating the attack, Detective Chief Inspector R. N. Macdonald, said yesterday there appeared to be no motive for.it.
“There was no sign of robbery or sexual interference,” he said.
