Dream, gelding sprinted, the 1200 m in imin 10.55. Starting a 5-4 on favourite for the weight-for-age sprint, Silver Wraith defeated Dream Mascot (7?2) by two and a half lengths, with Rodeo Drive (11-2) a length away third. Jockey Peter Cook, said Silver Wraith had won with ridiculous ease. “He could have won by at least another length and a half,” he said.
