Wool starts well
Depression or recession might be in the air, but the first Christchurch sale of the new wool-selling season yesterday was a good one. The market for finer wools was much better than expected. Coarser
wools met -a very strong market, a lot reaching or bettering 300 c a kilogram. China, the Middle East, including Iran, and Eastern Europe were reported to be, areas helping to boost the market. Report, Page 24
