Sinclair ‘will be reinstated’
NZPA Canberra The former Australian Primary Industry Minister, lan Sinclair would certainly be reinstated to the Cabinet, the Prime Minister (Mr Malcolm Fraser) said yesterday. He said he would discuss whether to reinstate Mr Sinclair before or alter this year’s election with the Deputy Prime Minister and National Country Party leader (Mr Doug Anthony). “There is a problem of timing,” Mr Fraser said. Mr Sinclair was cleared by a Sydney District Criminal Court jury on Thursday of nine charges relating to the family companies. He resigned as Primary Industry Minister last year after a New South Wales corporate affairs commission ; special investigation made a series of allegations against . him, but stayed in Parlia- : ment as member for New England as well as' deputy!
