Peach family to sue for damages
NZPA London ■ The family of Blair Peach, the New Zealand teacher fatally injured during an ; ariti-National Front demonstration in Southall last year, have decided to drop ■their fight to have the verdict .of misadventure as a cause of his death quashed. The family’s lawyer said yesterday that “after careful consideration” they had decided not to pursue an application to, the Divisional Court to' quash the verdict returned by a Coroner’s Court jury in May. Instead the family would concentrate on a civil action for damages against the Metropolitan Police.
