The appointee will be responsible for the effective operation of the Board’s Budgetary and Management Systems. The appointee will be required to liaise effectively with the Heads of Medical and Service Departments to discuss matters affecting the Board’s financial resources, budget plans, etc. The post is an interesting one which is of importance to the Board. It occupies a central position in the planning and allocation of financial resources and is well supported by management services, accounting and other specialist staff. The Board’s budget for 1980/81 is $ 100 M. The successful applicant is likely to be aged up to 45 years, have, a knowledge of E.D.P. and preferably a background of hospital administration. Applicants will be expected to have had several years experience in administration or financial management at a senior level. A relevant tertiary qualification would be of advantage and need not be confined to a qualification in accounting. In recognition of this, salary will be determined in accordance with the appointee’s qualifications and experience, up to $20,185 per annum.
