Catholic transfers
The Roman Catholic Church has announced the following clergy transfers which are effective from August 30.
Parish priests: The Rev B. O’Gorman, to Addington; the Rev. P. Cahill, to Bumside; the Rev. T. Curnow, to Dallington; the Rev. K. Clark, to Hoon Hay; the Rev. K. O’Reilly, to Hornby; the Rev. R. Wilson, to Lyttelton; the Rev. J. O’Connor, to North Canterbury; P. Consedine, to Rakaia (with residence and duties in Ashburton); the Rev. R. Scott, to Woolston. Assistants: The Rev. B. McSoriley, to Bumside; the Rev. B. Daly, to the Cathedral of the ’ Blessed Sacrament; the Rey. J. Fitzmaurice, to North Canterbury. Other appointments include Monsignor T. Daly. Vicar-General of the Diocese of Christchurch, to the Dallington parish, and the Rev. R. Schmack as administratoto the Halswell parish.
