U.P.P. does well
The group net profit of United Publishing and Printing Company, Ltd, the Ro-torua-based newspaper publisher, rose 9.3 per cent to $1,065,491 in the year to March 31, the directors say in a preliminary report. The profit was after providing $80,003 more for tax at $829,410, and $80,442 more for depreciation at $321,179. A recommended final dividend of 8c a share increases the annual fate from 10c to llq a share (22 per cent). The dividend, 3c a share of which is tax-free, is payable on September- 19, ex divi-'H-’M on A’i"ust 7.7.
