Suitably marked trees were planted on the properties of Messrs J. F. and B. F. Smith, at Lincoln, last week to record the fact that the two properties were the scene of the twenty-seventh world ploughing contest last May. The secretary of the organising committee for the contest, Mr P. F. Wood, is shown adding a shovelful of soil to a blue cedar planted on Mr J. F. Smith’s farm.
